Getting to Know Panopto as a Former Knowmia User – What’s Changed?
Juli Van Dorn

So, you’ve already followed the steps in our GWC Knowmia-to-Panopto Transition webinar to migrate your Canvas/Knowmia videos and assignments over to Panopto. Great job! But Panopto still seems... different? In this session we’ll cover some of the common questions and issues that have been arising for our Knowmia users, as they get started with Panopto. Join us live to learn what things you should be aware of as you embark on your Panopto journey as a former Knowmia user!

  • If you would like an introduction to the Panopto platform, recorder, and editor, a previously recorded session can be found here.
  • If you have not swapped out your Knowmia videos in Canvas for the migrated copies in Panopto, a recorded session on these steps can be found here.

"Butts in Seats" is no Longer Sufficient; Building a Culture of Care in the Classroom in order to Boost Retention and Completion Rates
Ashley Berry

As we watch enrollment numbers drop to record lows across all 116 California community colleges, we will need to find strategies to attract students to our courses and encourage that they stay until completion. This training explores the way that top-rated professors across the nation build a culture of care and humanity within the confines of their classroom (whether digital or in person). This is where pedagogy meets edutainment and where we can critically reflect on our own best practices in a changing educational atmosphere.

Location: Math Science 162

Integrating Academic Support into Your Classes
