"Butts in Seats" is no Longer Sufficient; Building a Culture of Care in the Classroom in order to Boost Retention and Completion Rates
Ashley Berry
As we watch enrollment numbers drop to record lows across all 116 California community colleges, we will need to find strategies to attract students to our courses and encourage that they stay until completion. This training explores the way that top-rated professors across the nation build a culture of care and humanity within the confines of their classroom (whether digital or in person). This is where pedagogy meets edutainment and where we can critically reflect on our own best practices in a changing educational atmosphere.
