The students are responsible for learning about the onboarding process for the agency in which they are interested. The onboarding process is the requirement to start the fieldwork. Some agencies will start recruiting fieldwork students three months prior to the start of fieldwork. It is common for agencies to require background checks, vaccination requirements, and interview candidates.
