Information regarding a student injury:
  • To file an accident claim, the injured person cannot have been working as an employee at the time of the injury. If the injured person is a campus employee, a student worker, or a student sponsored by a company or agency, they will need to contact their supervisor for their Worker's Comp provider information and protocol.
  • The Coast Community College District (CCCD) provides Student Accident Insurance (SAIN) through Anthem for all enrolled and registered students, as well as intercollegiate athletes.
  • This excess coverage helps pay for medical expenses related to accidental injuries, supporting your recovery and return to school or sports.

  • Completed SAIN forms should be emailed to:
  • Once the student receives their SAIN number, they will be able to use Anthem’s App, Sydney. Click here for Sydney app instructions.
    • After creating an account with Sydney, students will receive an actual insurance card to give to providers and providers can bill electronically.
    • If a student maxes out on their SAIN coverage, the AG Specialty Insurance Form must be completed and sent to claims@agadm.com.
  • The employee who witnessed the injury or was supervising the student at the time of injury must complete the Student/Non-Student Accident Report.
    • Completed Student/Non-Student Accident Reports must be emailed to Dawn Dittmer same day ddittmer@gwc.cccd.edu
