Every year, BRT brings nearly the Golden West College | www.gwctheater.com entire student body of Dance Academy of Southern California onstage to join the company dancers in The Nutcracker. This story, along with the children performers, pre-professional dancers, as well as guest performers, represents a light-hearted and beautiful production. The Nutcracker is a holiday tradition around the world, and this production caters to that atmosphere. Enjoy this classic with the entire family!

LA BAYADERE

This unique tale of love and fate showcases the harmonious rhythm of the company’s corps de ballet and the skillful versatility of its lead dancers. Set in the royal India of the past, La Bayadère exhibits a distinct style that threads continually through the choreography. It culminates with the legendary “Kingdom of the Shades,” where a breathtaking parade of arabesque and rigorous adagio work highlights the talents of the company’s corps de ballet. Ballet Repertory Theatre’s La Bayadère will transport you to a world where the spirit of love endures against all odds. La Bayadère remains one of the great Petipa classics.

CHOREOGRAPHY SHOWCASE

This represents the 2nd Choreography Showcase for Ballet Repertory Theatre. It features four completely brand new works by a variety of different choreographers. The performance consists of pieces by Dance Academy of Southern California faculty, student choreographers, and a world premier by a special guest choreographer! This production offers BRT members exposure to a variety of movement and provides the audience with a completely different experience compared to our more classical productions. Come challenge yourself and enjoy new and innovative artwork in the making!
