One of Huntington Beach’s oldest salons is located on the campus of Golden West College. In business since GWC opened in 1966, Cosmetology Services has been providing an important dual function: Giving students an opportunity for advanced training; and bringing community members onto the campus, where they learn about the college and receive an affordable, quality service.
The Cosmetology salon’s main goal is to provide clients for advanced-level students, who are nearing completion of course work that prepares them for state licensing. However, the public also benefits from the myriad of services — including hair styling, coloring, chemical waving and relaxing, skin care treatments, and waxing.
Any Client who coming for a chemical service (color, perm, relaxer, etc.) must come to the college 24 hours in advance for a PD test to check for allergic reactions.
