DISTRICT HR PROCEDURES:
Eligible full-time faculty on Columns I-IV of the salary schedule will be contacted by District HR and provided information on Horizontal Salary Advancement. The communication will include the District’s application and deadlines. The District application is an annual process and is required of faculty planning to earn salary adadvancement credits by either completing upper division/academic courses or going through the campus IPD/PDI for IPD/lower division credits. HOW TO ADVANCE ON THE SALARY SCHEDULE:
Twenty (20) units are required for Horizontal Salary Advancement.
- Option 1: complete all twenty (20) semester units as upper division/academic courses. A transcript is submitted to District HR as documentation of completed work. All handled through District HR. Contact Kyla Bentley for assistance at kbentley3@cccd.edu
- Option 2: complete ten (10) upper division/academic semester units PLUS (10) IPD professional improvement credits. Submit a Salary Advancement Credits application to the IPD office.
The IPD recommends:
@ONE - offers OPTIONAL graduate-level university credits by dual-enrolling at Fresno Pacific University. (Sponsored by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office).
This is a courtesy list of institutions that may offer graduate-level credits. It is your responsibility to do your research to ensure that you enrolling in a course that meets the District guidelines. Costs vary.
